Ray Bradbury, the literary genius behind Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles , got his own star on the Walk of Fame in 2002 . Bradbury’s imagination took us to distant planets and dystopian futures, and Hollywood couldn’t help but take notice. His star at 6644 Hollywood Boulevard honors his profound influence on movies and TV through his books. Only two novelists have stars on the Walk, and Bradbury’s spot is well-deserved. Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, got its own star on the Walk of Fame in 2005. Though it’s not technically on the Walk (city rules, go figure), the star sits right next to it, near Disney’s Soda Fountain on Hollywood Boulevard.

Who didn’t wish to have a dog like Lassie at home? Lassi is the most famous collie in the world and she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Well, at least the character did because, spoiler alert, Lassie was played by many dogs!

Lassie’s star, located at 6368 Hollywood Boulevard, honors her role as TV’s favorite four-legged hero. She’s one of only four dogs to receive a star, and honestly, she deserves it for all the lives she’s "saved" on screen.

The star isn’t just for one dog, it’s for every amazing canine that played Lassie over the years. It was only fair that a man’s best friend received a star on such an iconic street!

But, the Shenandoah National Park, 75 miles from Washington, D.C., has over 500 miles of hiking trails, including more than 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail ; You can tackle a small section in a day’s hike.

The park is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors in Virginia and it consists of 200,000 acres of protected land that are home to animals like deer and songbirds.

More than 260 miles of maintained trails lead visitors through peaceful old-growth forests, river valleys, and subalpine meadows on the Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state.

Hikers should attempt to visit at sunrise and sunset to enjoy the breathtaking views of sunlight splashing off the cliffs and into the rivers below. And if it is an approachable trail they’re looking for, the Upper Emerald Pools Trail is an easy hike leading to sparkling waterfalls.

Over 700 miles of hiking trails, including more than a dozen options around the Many Glacier area , like the popular Grinnell Glacier Trail , can be found at the Glacier National Park.

The park offers hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, and visitors may spot golden eagles, prairie falcons, river otters, and beavers throughout the day.

Petroglyph Wall Trail, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Nevada

As visitors to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area can testify, not all short-distance hikes are the same. Many are labeled difficult, and it can take four to five hours to complete a five-mile hike.

Along the different routes, desert wildlife can be spotted, including lizards, toads, and hawks. One of the park's most beginner-friendly hikes is the 0.2-mile Petroglyph Wall Trail , where centuries-old rock art can be appreciated.

The second entry on the list is also awarded to Spain for its creative title translation of Bruce Willis’ Die Hard as The Crystal Jungle . The reasons for this name remain a mystery . Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that the city can be considered a jungle, and a significant part of the movie takes place in a city. Other than that, we're stumped.

Apparently, the Chinese are not alone when it comes to inventing more descriptive names for the movies they translate. The German version of the slapstick comedy Airplane! is translated as The Unbelievable Trip in a Wacky Aeroplane .

The French translators could have done a lot worse with this one. After all, while the film’s storyline involves Kevin being stuck home alone, he ends up stuck at home because he missed his flight in the first place .

Annie Hall - The Urban Neurotic (Germany)

Yes, this is a Woody Allen movie, and yes, the main character, aside from Annie herself, is an urban neurotic. Maybe that’s why the German translators decided, once again, to change the simple original title of the movie to a description of the leading man’s character .

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - It’s Raining Falafel (Israel)

Similar, but not the same— not by a long shot. The Israeli title for this children’s movie evokes a somewhat similar image to the one in the original title, but it does so with a more local dish as the element replacing the rain .
